Norevo Expedition (Contraceptives after intercourse)

1) Efficacy, effect

Emergency contraception to be used immediately within 72 hours after sexual intercourse in case of unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure

2) Usage and dosage

As levonorgestrel, 1.5 mg is orally administered once. The sooner you take it after sexual intercourse, the higher the effect. Therefore, after unprotected sexual intercourse, take this medicine (1.5 mg as levonorgestrel) as soon as possible (recommended within 12 hours) and at the latest within 72 hours (3 days). This medicine can be used at any time during the menstrual cycle. If you vomit within 3 hours of taking it, take another 1.5 mg dose of levonorgestrel immediately. For subsequent sexual intercourse after emergency contraception with this medicine, use of non-hormonal local contraception (condom, spermicide, intrauterine device, contraceptive cap, etc.) is recommended until the start of the next menstrual cycle. After taking this medicine, you can take regular hormonal contraceptives after the start of your next menstrual cycle.
