Obestin vaginal suppository (estriol) (menopause, menopause, vaginitis)

1) Efficacy, effect

Vulvar disease and symptoms due to estrogen deficiency after menopause, menopause or oophorectomy: atrophic vaginitis, vulvar itching, sexual intercourse discomfort

2) Usage and dosage

As estriol, 0.5 mg once a day is inserted deep into the vagina at bedtime for usually 3 weeks until symptoms are relieved. For maintenance therapy, it is preferable to administer 1 tablet twice a week. This drug is administered in the minimum amount and for the minimum period possible. However, in the case of maintenance therapy, administration of the drug is discontinued for 4 weeks every 2-3 months to determine whether to continue administration.
