Cometasone nasal spray (nasal rhinitis)

1) Efficacy, effect

1. Adults and children over 2 years of age: Seasonal allergic rhinitis and year-round rhinitis. In patients who have had symptoms of moderate to severe seasonal allergic rhinitis, prophylaxis can be started 2 to 4 weeks before the scheduled start of the pollen phase (scheduled allergen exposure date).

2. Adults over 18 years of age: Nasal polyps

3. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: Acute rhinosinusitis without severe bacterial infection

2) Usage, dosage

1. Allergic rhinitis

Adults (including seniors) and youth 12 years and older:

Generally, spray twice a day into each nostril (total daily dose of 0.2 mg). When symptoms are alleviated, spray as a maintenance dose.

 Children aged 2 to 11 years:

Generally, spray once a day, once for each nostril (total daily dose of 0.1 mg)

2. Nasal polyps

Spray twice per day for each nostril.

3. Acute rhinosinusitis

Generally, spray twice a day, twice per nostril (total daily dose of 0.4 mg).
