1) Efficacy, effect

1. Effective bacterial species

Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pyogenes (Group A-beta-hemolytic), Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

2. Indications
1) Otitis media
2) Pneumonia, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis
3) Pyelonephritis, cystitis, gonococcal urethritis 4) Swelling, carbuncle, folliculitis, cellulitis
, infectious atheroma, subcutaneous abscess, raw hand, wound infection

2) Usage, dosage

1. Adults: As cefaclor, 250 mg (potency) is administered orally every 8 hours. In case of severe infections (pneumonia, etc.) and infections with low susceptibility, the dose can be doubled. For acute gonococcal urethritis, administer 3g of this drug and 1g of probenecid as a single dose.

2. Children: 20 mg (potency) per kg of body weight per day divided into doses every 8 hours. In case of severe infections, otitis media, and infections with low susceptibility, 40 mg (titer) per kg of body weight per day can be administered, and the maximum dose is 1 g (titer) per day.

3. Patients with impaired renal function: Can be administered without change in dosage. Treatment of beta-hemolytic streptococcal infection should be administered for at least 10 days.
